the studio is bustling with activity.. june brides are sending us pictures with smiles on their faces.. 

but we are already on to the next phase of early fall weddings!

a collection of green shades of chiffon for our september bridesmaids takes over the cutting table..

new labels and a new bride are allowing for sketching and stamping time..

and our autumn/winter collection is being requested off the racks! the chiffon sheaths from the 

collection are perfect to wear early this summer! (see the tufa dress in charcoal on miriam).

the summer is here and with that lots of work!  we hope everyone is able to escape a little and enjoy the sunshine!

a sea of blue bridesmaids

after the bride chooses the style.. picks the color.. bridesmaids come in for their fittings..

six 'trillium' dresses appear ready for the june 23rd wedding of dave and emily..

each bridesmaid lit up as the sea blue satin dress was pinned at their waist and the dress became real..

the simple lines and pop of a pleated one shoulder makes this dress perfect for an evening affair in evanston..

we cannot wait to get our hands on the bride and groom's photos..

planted prairie

the afternoon clouds part and rays of sun shed light onto the path through the prairie..

blossoming flowers shoot straight towards the warmth of the sun.. with their petals rippling in the breeze..

each patch of color presents a new flower native to this land..

the summer months are here.. and with that comes so many different delights! enjoy them all!

we fell in love with the sweet 17 year old that had been eyeing one of our gowns in our window 

the last few months..  her moment to grace the world in a miriam cecilia gown came in the form of prom!

she wished for a beautiful flowing gown in a soft coral shade.. but trusted us with all the little details..

we know she is one cool high schooler who will not look back years from now and think 'what was i thinking!'

shades of green

the sun radiates through the sheaths of green creating endless color ways..

speckles of white appear.. but will not stay for long..

it is at the edge of the woods where neutrals and bold yellows take precedent..

the endless beauty around us is a reminder to always stop and breathe..  then carry on.

happy happenings

the studio has been bustling with brides popping in and out trying on their dresses..

they even call franticly needing a dress for their last 'fling before the ring' just days before..

miriam turned to her first love -sequins- to create a perfect shimmery shift to dance the night away!

on a much calmer night miriam draped, pinned, and tacked yards and yards of ivory tulle..

you can just picture this skirt cinched over a lace bodice frolicking 

in the pastures of the farm where the bride will say 'i do'

it waits in anticipation to be taken home and worn on the big day!

we love every single one of our brides and not knowing what the next one will ask us to do!
